• 50% Theory and On-Campus Simulation: The theoretical modules are taught using active-learning techniques at the main campus in Horsforth. Learning is also supported by simulation suites, ward environments and digital health technologies.
• 50% Practical Placements: The students would complete over 2,300 hours of clinical practice across the three years. Placements consist of two 11-week blocks each year.
• Four NMC-Approved Specialisms: Students can generally choose one of the pathways:
  • Adult Nursing: Hospital wards, surgical units and community care.
  • Child Nursing: Pediatric units, neonatal care, child health services.
  • Mental Health Nursing: Inpatient psychiatric care, crisis resolution and community mental health.

Application Process

1. Application Submission:  You submit your application to Leeds Trinity University, either through the university’s own portal or through UCAS (for undergraduate routes).
2. Offer Issuance (Conditional/Unconditional): The University reviews your application and issues an offer.
   • Conditional means you still need to meet certain requirements (e.g., final grades, IELTS score) before it’s confirmed.
   • Once those conditions are met, it converts to an Unconditional offer.
3. PCI (Pre-CAS Interview): Before issuing your CAS, the university (or its partner) conducts a short interview, usually over Teams, to confirm your intent, understanding of the course, and genuineness as a student
4. CAS Deposit: You pay a partial tuition deposit (commonly around 50%) as a commitment before the university proceeds to issue your CAS.
5. CAS Request: Once the deposit is paid, you (or your agent) formally request the CAS along with the required supporting documents.
6. CAS Issuance: The University issues the CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) a unique reference number required to apply for your visa.
7. Visa Application: Using the CAS, you apply for your UK student visa: pay the visa fee and Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) online, then attend a biometric appointment at a VFS Global centre.
8. Enrollment: Once the visa is granted, you travel to the UK and formally register/enroll at Leeds Trinity University.
