GERMANY
Germany, with its rich historical, artistic, and philosophical heritage, has long been a cornerstone of global cultural and intellectual development. Building on this legacy, German institutions have expanded their range of English-taught courses, inviting people from around the globe to access world-class education while experiencing an intellectually vibrant environment.
Why Germany?
Affordable Tuition
German higher education institutions hold a good reputation globally but it costs comparatively much less than other study destinations. Tuition fees are completely free in the majority of German states, the only exceptions being private institutions. The semester contribution is the sole fee students pay: this payout ranges from €100 to €350, depending on the institution. Universities also have semester tickets that allow students to use public transportation.
Research-based and Practical Learning
German universities are research-oriented and offer a very practical approach, especially at universities of applied sciences. Such an approach is very beneficial as it enables students to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Some institutions also offer bachelor’s degree programmes with vocational qualifications.
Safe Environment
The German law emphasises largely personal freedom and expression, making the community comfortable and open to everyone, regardless of their religion, sex, origin or any other personal preference. The country is generally very safe, as the government strictly enforces its laws.
Post-study Opportunities
The German government provides an 18-month post-graduation permit for students to search for employment. As a graduate, it isn’t hard to find career opportunities in Germany, as companies are actively recruiting skilled workers and educated professionals.
